Walterdale Bridge

This design was prepared as part of a proposal to maintain the southern bay of the soon to be demolished Walterdale Bridge, and create a restaurant which would showcase Edmonton’s river valley.

The design proposal would preserve the original heritage character of the historic bridge and add a contemporary element with glass walls and a suspended glass floor over the river below. This proposed development would be connected to the West Rossdale Redevelopment and Generating Station via the new pedestrian bridge, and would complement the adjacent Queen Elizabeth Park Master Plan.
